Abstract:

During recent years, the effects of using Real-Time Business Intelligence and Quality Management systems have been clearly seen in any organization and they have been vastly considered by researchers. As an inevitable necessity and a new infrastructure, Real-Time Business Intelligence has attracted great attention to itself. On the other hand, applying quality management systems in organizations has become comprehensive regardless of the applied standard and model. In this regard, organizations can enjoy the effectiveness of Real-Time Business Intelligence systems whose main idea is to seamlessly transfer data to information and knowledge. They can access samples, accurate models and immediate measures in real time according to business rules and this information so that they might fill the existing gap in Quality Management systems. In the present study, the ability to support quality management activities by Real-Time Business Intelligence and its impact on different aspects of quality management and eventually on organizations’ performance has been investigated. The conducted researches show the impact of an organization’s characteristics and its different aspects including the type of production process and the importance of quality in an organization on the extent of using business intelligence and its effects on various aspects of quality management.
