NUMERICAL AND EXPERIMENTAL STUDY OF WAVE RUN-UP ONSEAWALLS AND PROVIDE A LINEAR EQUATION FOR DESCRIBEWAVE RUN-UP ON SMOOTH, STEEP, IMPERMEABLE SLOPES

In designing maritime structures, hydraulic parameters, such as wave run-up, dictate thegeometry and, in particular, elevation of the structure above sea level. As a wave breaks, aportion of the remaining energy generates a force that runs up the water on a beach or slopedshore structure.
