Abstract:

In this research, a nonlinear Finite Element Method (FEM) is developed for numerical modeling of water wave sloshing in 2D tank. The oscillation motion of liquid in atank due to an external force is called sloshing phenomenon [1]. In this study, the water wave height is calculated using the present model for the wave makerproblem and the numerical results are compared with the available analytical solutions. In the following, the modeling procedure is stated.
