Abstract:

Recently various additives such as nanoparticles and zeolites are added in the preparation of polymeric component for changed the properties of polymer as a composite polymers.In this research, liquid phase additive is used for the preparation of polymer composite coating films. For this purpose, ethylene glycol was selected for addition to polyurethane based polyester polymer and the effects of ethylene glycol on chemical and mechanical properties of this composite were investigated. The structure of polymer films checked out by FTIR and its mechanical properties were carried out by tensile test. FTIR test results indicate the formation of hydrogen bonds between the hard segment of polymer and ethylene glycol. Tensile test results are shown that mechanical properties of polyurethane decreased a little
