Abstract:

This paper presents an investigation on the bending of rectangular composite plate reinforced by single-walled carbon nanotubes (SWCNTs) with simply supported edges subjected to uniform loading using the extended Kantorovich method (EKM ). The carbon nanotubes (CNTs) are uniformly distributed (UD) in the thickness direction. The material properties of SWCNTs are assumed to be temperature-dependent are obtained from molecular dynamics (MD) simolations . For consideration the plate properties with composite matrix reinforced by SWCNTs are used the rules of mixture. EKM iterative procedure are based on the classical plate theory (CLPT) and The differential equations are obtained by applying the Galerkin method . Successive application of EKM together converts the governing forth-order partial differential equation (PDE) to two separate ordinary differential equations (ODE) in terms of cartesian coordinates system. The obtained ODE systems are then solved iteratively with very fast convergence. The reliability of the present analytical method for nanocomposite plate under different boundary condition was verified with ANSYS solution
