Abstract:

Communication has been considered one of the most important social issues. The first definition for communication was provided by Aristotle. Afterward and especially in the modern era, many scholars have expressed their views, theories, and models to explain the process of communication. Berlo s communication model was one of the most influential models of his time. He knew the centrality of communication in the message. Due to the comprehensiveness of Berlo s model, it can be helpful in analysis and understand different sorts of communication, including Non-verbal communication. In this paper, the communication process through architecture, between the architect and the user will be analyzed. This analysis is based on Berlo s communication model. In the end, a model will be provided that has been derived from Berlo s model.
