Abstract:Each paper should include an Abstract that has been composed between 120 and 300 Generating proportional forces to reduce undesired structural responses, active control systems are based on feedbacks form structural responses and input energy. Control forces are applied to structures through actuators given stimulation acceleration and estimated structural demands at any time instant. These systems usually are used opposing dynamic actions from ground motions; however, it would not be readily accessible a comprehensive study of their application against blast loads. In this paper, an active viscose damper as an active control system, are considered and its act on reducing structural responses due to blast induced loads are investigated. In the study, a structural model is established and its responses due to a real life blast excitation are determined. Results demonstrated this control procedure has not significant operation under blast induced loads as Earthquake loads. Therefore, they need some provisions since using to control blast induced reactions.
