Abstract:
Thunderstorm rainfall systems are known as a thermo dynamic weather package, which are created in certain conditions at the atmosphere. Thunderstorm rainfall is one of the most important climatic phenomena in the northwest of Iran that has specific variability in spatial distribution. These rains play an important role in study of area climates. Remote sensing technology has a unique role in the clouds precipitation information. The purpose of this study is study of spatial distribution of Thunderstorm rainfall of mountainous areas in northwest of Iran with using GIs methods. Because of that, precipitation modis images data from 2010 to 2012 and elevation model are selected and in the softwares Arc Gis, ENVI and EDRISI, have been processed. This study indicates high and positive correlation between Elevation model and precipitation modis images, and also shows that, Precipitation in spring and summer has a lot of intensity.
