Impacts of Sanctions on tourism development in Iran

If we want to look back to the history, the first comprehensive global sanctions against Iran was Great Britain sanctions against Iran in response to Mohammed Mossadegh election as Minister who was following the nationalization of the oil industry. After that, there have been other sanctions such as 1980 and 1995 America sanction against Iran. Economic sanctions, During President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has been intensified and sanctions have implemented various effects on all industries.as It is known, Tourism is the second important industry in the world after petroleum and it has been effected as well as other basic industries. This paper examines the impact of comprehensive embargoes on Tourism standards in Iran. In order to do this, data collection is performed by using a questionnaire asking tourists about their travel experiences after recent sanctions against Iran. The SPSS Data Collection software program is utilized in order to collect, sort, and format the data into statistically compatible variances. Reliability and validity of scales is been calculated by Cronbach‟s Alpha test and after that Kalmogorov-Smirnov test is done to get the results. Finally, it is resulted that sanctions have not stopped tourism development, however they have implemented on tourism development very strongly.
