This study was conducted aiming to investigate Fast Food Consumption and Factors Influencing in Fasa population, south of Iran in 2017.Methods: This cross-sectional study was conducted on 421 people were selected by stratified cluster sampling. Body mass index were measured and socio economic data and demographic information were collected by interview. Participants were grouped based on their fast-food consumption frequency as non-consumer, Low Consumer : less than once a week, medium Consumer : 1 to 2 times a week and high Consumer : more than twice a week. Results: The mean age of participant s was 37.3 - 11.5years. 3.8% consumers were high and 70.8% were low and the other were average consumers. 11.6% had a subscription card to buy fast food, which is a decision to continue to consume in the future. 82.9% used sauces as condiments and 66.7% used carbonated beverages. 72.2% used fast food participants in the family, which means the institutionalization of consumption of this type of food in the family. The frequency of fast food consumption was significantly associated with the age of the participants (p<0.05). The relationship between fast food consumption was not significant with gender, BMI, education, marital status, occupation and income level (p> 0.05).Conclusion: Consumption of fast food among people in the fasa seems to have an adverse effect on dietary quality in ways that plausibly could increase risk for obesity and chronic diseases, so research and intervention strategies should focus on dietary practices of general population.
