Abstract:

Trust placement in the context of organizational trust has been probed and well-documented in recent years due to its myriad benefits in the success of change initiatives. Particularly, employees’ trust in their managers has a significant impact on change process and goal achievement. Respectively, trust placement is a strategic approach in organizational policies. Hence, several studies encompass its details and practical dimensions. Because of trust placement’s gravity in organizational success and either its non-physical essence, the subject holds a fascination for researchers. This paper utilizing a theoretical point of view focuses mainly to survey the most effective organizational policies in trust placement. First of all, it reviews the change and trust in managerial literature; which is followed by conceptually listing the major approaches by which the trust of employees in their managers is formed, repaired and boosted. After categorizing these parameters as concept-oriented and form-oriented, each one is discussed and illuminated separately. Finally, limitations of current study and suggestions for future investigations will be discussed
