Abstract:
Kafka s works are unlike anything that came before which influences many writers including J.D Salinger who was a tremendous fan of Kafka and was probably influenced by him in writing. The Catcher in the Rye (1951). The heroes of Kafka s stories are always caught in the plot in such a way that the story doesn t go forward, they are instead trapped and challenged by the difficulties of their worlds. All of the protagonists in Kafka s works are alienated, or strangers.Actually, Kafka knew both his world and human world and interpreted humanity through his works. He wrote about his inner experiences as well as the contradictions and anxieties of his time. He wrote about the struggle with nameless tyrants, the endless tribunal, the comic-tragic bureaucrats and corrupt officials. In fact, the world for Kafka is essentially turmoil, something that is not rational. His world is essentially chaotic and this is why it is impossible to derive a specific philosophical or religious code from it. Kafka s protagonists are2 lonely because they cannot make themselves heard and understood. Actually they are involved in adventures which no one else knows about.
