Abstract:

Synthesis of Copper based thermos-electrics was done with different methods. One of the most common methods is in situ synthesis where the time of treatment is one of the most important factors and it takes too much. In this paper, investigation of the synthesis time on the formation of related phases are done in Cu3SbSe3 composition. Scanning electron microscopy study with EDS was carried out. X -ray Diffractometry (XRD) was carried out too. Both results showed that the synthesized product is not uniform and two different phases were formed. Morphology and particle size were studied by Atomic force microscopy (AFM). Thermal analysis was carried out and DSC result showed that there is no transformation occurred up to 350 degrees centigrade and the application of this compound is in higher temperatures.
