Abstract:

Ni-plating is one of the most common coating process which is applied to almost every engineering material. In this paper, the electroplating of Ni coat on the pure Titanium substrate was applied successfully and the optimum condition was obtained as below: electrolyte pH (3), temperature (55 °C), average density (5 A/dm2) rate. In order to characterize the interface microstructure field emission scanning electron microscopy were carried out. Morphology and surface roughness were studied with Atomic Force Microscopy and corrosion behavior was studied by polarization The results showed an increase in hardness of surface, gradually improved corrosion potential, greater in polarization resistance in comparison with pure titanium.
