A Review of Sendai Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction 2015-2030 (18 March 2015)

Sendai report was adopted as a framework to reduce risk at the Third United Nations World Conference on Disaster Risk Reduction, held from 14 to 18 March 2015 in Sendai, Japan.In this report the cooperation and commitment of the members has emphasized on and guidelines to make the framework practical has been focused more.Past 10 yearsexperience and all what has been achieved during these years is considered in this report.The finding have had the results related to the implementation area conditions and are mentioned in this report.We are to identify the weakness, strength, emphases and challenges of this report through desk studyand survey of it and also check its implementation in Iran.The results show the necessity and importance of governments commitments to achieving the objectives. Also it shows that despite the success in reducing the risks of disasters but still the rate of success is not desirable.However activeness of this goal requires comprehensive implementation of risk reduction in all aspects of economic, legal, structural, social, health, culture, educational, environmental, technological and political.
