Abstract:
The possibility of accomplishing multicomponent reactions with a heterogeneous catalyst under ultrasonic irradiation could improve their effectiveness from operating cost and ecological points of view. In recent years core/shell nanoparticles have received considerable attention because of their unique properties. In the present paper, Fe3O4/ polyethylene glycol (PEG) magnetic composite nanoparticles with a core–shell structure were prepared [1].A one-pot, efficient protocol for the synthesis of non-cyclized adducts by 6-aminouracils in poly (ethylene glycol) 200/H2O was described (scheme 2). An interesting family of non-cyclized adducts bearing fused pharmacological active units are prepared. The reaction is free of toxic solvents and catalysts, has simple workup procedure, and has high atom economy, making it more environmentally friendly and suitable for large-scale operations [2,3].
