Abstract:

A viscosity model based on the Heyen equation of state has been applied to refrigerants. Firstly, pure refrigerants are selected and the pure-component coefficients of the model are then fitted. Then binary mixtures are used to fit the binary interaction parameters of the model. The obtained binary interaction parameters and pure-component coefficients are used to predict the viscosity of a ternary mixture. The results prove that deviations are generally low for all analyzed compounds and mixtures. This model does not need the density, which is one of its main advantages.
