Abstract:
study of earth structure stability against earthquake, like embankments, rock slop and retaining wall is very important. In this paper rock slopes stability of sardasht dam around its spillway was analyzed three- dimensionally using discrete elememnt methode by 3DEC software and two-dimensionally were analyzed using permanent displacmement technigue by upper bound log- spiral and limit equilibrium methods. the dynanmic input was based on shear waves and tree earthquake levels (DBE,MDE and MCE),and in the most models input shear waves was a real gistory of earthquake. due to achieved results from mentioned methods it was observede that instability potential of rock slopes around spillway, particulary the approch wall near spillway entrance channel in MCE earthquake level in high.
