Abstract:
In this paper various configurations of linear switched reluctance motor (LSRM) with permanent magnet (PM) are studied in order to obtain the less cogging force construction with respect to an suitable driving force .The 3-D Finite Element Method (FEM) is used to evaluate LSRM parameters. By comparing the maximum driving force to maximum cogging force ratio (K) the optimal construction has been determined. Its cogging force is smallest and its average driving force is increased 27%.
