Abstract:
In this paper, the heating demand in a building is benefited from the heat pump, which has connected to solar collectors to improve the heat pump efficiency. This method is able to profit the solar effect to reform the COP of heat pump . The incorporation which connects solar collectors to the heat pump and two storage tanks is selected. The case study is a two-floor office building which designed in sketch up software. The parameters such as heat pump size, storage tanks capacity and the flow rate of solar collectors are investigated and optimized for an office building. This simulation invokes Energy Plus 8.8, and then the optimization is done with the genetic algorithm by jeplus+ea tools. The results display this combination decreases energy-consuming for heating more than 84% than prevalent boilers while providing thermal comfort for majority hours in the cold seasons. The best value for the critical indexes are selected, and the energy usage as an optimization objective is minimized.
