Abstract:
In this research, zinc Oxide nanoparticles were prepared by sol-gel technique. After preparing sol and ensure itssustainability, nanoparticles prepared by annealing from certain temperature. The structure and surface morphologywere investigated by X-ray diffraction (XRD) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). In the followingPhotocatalytic activities of nanopowders were performed using degradation of azo dyes. The influence of pH, time ofirradiation and dye azo concentration on the photocatalytic activity was investigated. The result showed that Zinc Oxidephotocatalyst cannot degradation azo dye without irradiation UV-vis and presence of all three factors Azo dye, ZincOxide photocatalyst and UV-Vis radiation are necessary for degradation.
