Abstract:

Cholinium-based carboxylic acid are known as novel, low toxic and biocompatible saltswhich are used widely in biotechnological and pharmaceutical processes [1-3]. In these processes, the role of used salt is more effective on the interactions between drug and water [4, 5]. Theseinteractions can be effected on the thermodynamic and transport properties correspond to drug.In this respect, the aim of this work is to investigate of cholinium bi-tartrate ([Ch][bit])-diphenhydramine interactions in water media by measuring of density and speed of sounds forthe mentioned ternary solutions at T = (288.15 to 318.15) K under atmospheric pressure. Theobtained values from this study were used to calculate the limiting molar volume ( 0t ),limiting molar compressibility ( 0  ), transfer molar volume ( 0tV  ), transfer molarcompressibility, and hydration number ( H n ). Also, viscosity values for the above mentionedsolutions were measured. Then, these values were utilized for calculating of viscosity Bcoefficientswhich provide a useful information about water structure in presence of the [Ch][bit]and drug.
