Abstract:
Close-range aerial photogrammetry is a branch of photogrammetry recenly applied in surveying. In imagery by this method, metric cameras are not used in order to reduce costs of map production. Hence, in the geometric correction procedure, one should utilize models which have no need to interior orientation parameters. Also, since the coverage areas of the images is less than those of aerial photogrammetry and remote sensingimages, the number of control points are usually limited. Instead, due to the shortness of height of sensor the height accuracy may be better compared with aerial photogrammetry and remote sensing images. In this research, the images taken by a Nikon D3200 wer used to extract 2D and 3D geometric information. To this end, two-dimensional projective and 2D-hybrid models for the 2D case were used and direct linear transformation models and collinear condition equations with additional parameters were employed for the 3Dcase. Study of the obtained accuracies shows that these images are geometrically suitableto produce planimetric and topographic maps at scale of 1:1000 and smaller scales.
