Abstract:

In this study, magnetic measurement of poloidalfields were used to determine poloidal beta and plasmainternal inductance of Damavand tokamak combination ofpoloidal beta and plasma internal inductance (β(p)+1/2),known as Shafranov parameter, was obtained experimentallyin terms of normal and tangential components of themagnetic field. Plasma internal inductance and poloidalbeta were obtained using parametrization method based onanalytical solution of Grad-Shafranov equation (GSE) andcompared with parabolic-like profile of toroidal currentdensity approach for determination of the plasma internalinductance. Finding evolution of (β(p)+1/2) and plasma internalinductance. Finding poloidal beta (Shafranov parameterand internal inductance) and using energy balance equation,thermal energy and energy confinement were determinedqualitatively in terms of poloidal beta during aregular discharge of Damavand tokamak.
