Abstract:

Background: The aim of this research was investigation transactional /transformational leadership behavior and organizational culture between Foolad Mahan sports teams.Materials and Methods: This is descriptive survey in which 171 participants were randomly chosen among sports teams in different fields. The Multifaceted Leadership Questionnaire and Organizational Culture Assessment Questionnaire were used for thisresearch. The statistical methods were the means, MANOVA, and t-test.Results and Discussions: According to the existing meaningful difference between these kinds of leadership behaviors, it seems that the style of leadership which is taken by managers and sports coaches should be revised drastically (p=0.05, t=2.58, F=50.183).Conclusion: Considering the findings of the present research, it is shown that different team members prefer a different management style of this club. Also, a combination at transactional and transformational leadership can be a key element for sport organization
