Abstract:

Introduction: Nowadays, aids is one of the most important problems in the worldwide. According to WHO reports, HIV transmission patterns have changed through sexual intercourse and Women are more at risk of becoming infected with HIV so they must have the better attitudes about AIDS and how to transfer it. The aim of this study was to investigate attitudes Iranian female students about HIV/AIDS.Methods: This cross-sectional study was performed on women students of Iranian between May 2017 and June 2018in the Tehran capital city of Iran. The International AIDS Questionnaire–Persian language Version (IAQ-P) was used. SPSS version 21 (Inc., Chicago, IL, USA) was used to analyze the data and using descriptive and inferential statistics.Results: Finally,387 students participated in this study.36% of all students having sexual experience. totally, the attitude of female students about AIDS was at a low level. Confounding effect of age, gender, and marital status had a significant effect on students AIDS attitude between different groups by using regression models (P-value<0.001).Conclusion: The finding of this study showed the attitude of female students about AIDS was at a low level and those who have sex experience have a better attitude.
