Abstract:

Introduction: Preeclampsia is one of the three main causes of the death of pregnant women and causes irreparable complications for the mother and fetus. No definitive method has yet been provided to diagnose this disease. Considering that in Iran, no peer studies have been conducted to investigate the simultaneous effects of different variables and MAP in order to predict and isolate individuals with hypertension disorders; therefore, the aim of this study was to investigate the simultaneous effect of these variables on the incidence of gestational hypertension.Methodology: This study was performed on 950 pregnant women without underlying illnesses who referred to health care centers in Khodabandeh , Zanjan in 2016-2017. Variables such as age, occupation, education, age of marriage, weight, height, body mass index and MAP 1in 12 weeks of gestation, 22 weeks of gestation as predictive variables and the incidence of gestational hypertension as a binary dependent variable were introduced into the model. To analyze the data, χ2 tests were used and multiple logistic regression models were also utilized to study the simultaneous effects of the variables studied in the prediction of the disease. To produce the statistical data the SPSS 2software version 22 was used. The level of significance was 0/05.Results: In this study, the prevalence of gestational hypertension was in 106 cases (11.2%) and Pre-eclampsia in 30 cases (3.2%). It was found that age, body mass index, nulliparity and MAP at weeks 12, 22 increases the risk of developing gestational hypertension. Conclusion: Due to irreparable complications of this disease for mother and fetus, it is recommended to measure the studied variables which do not impose any extra costs on an individual in health care centers.
