Diagnosis of Chiromantes boulengeri crayfish from Arvand River

Identification of Chiromantes boulengeri in 2014 was carried out in two parts of the Arvand River in Iran, including the Minoo-town Bridge and Omol-Ejaj district based on the characteristics of the mtDNA gene. In order to molecular analyzes of this species and investigation of their Phenogenetic relation with the species close to the NCBI gene bank, DNA was extracted by the phenol-chloroform method and the 16S rRNA mitochondrial genes were amplified by PCR and eventually sequenced. Based on the study of polymorphism, two mutation regions were observed between C. boulengeri species, which indicates the evolutionary and adaptive evolution of C. boulengeri species for better survival in different ecological and atmospheric conditions in the study area.
