Abstract:
model natural liquid consisting of benzene, toluene and xylene mixture was used to simulate materials to test the performance of Ni-supported catalysts prepared by the impregnation method. The catalysts were characterized by N2 adsorption-desorption and NH3-TPD analysis. Ni/MCM-41 was found to exhibit good performance for aromatics hydrogenation. At 150 °C the time on stream was 72 and at this period of time, the saturated aromatics capacity was high degree at first 12 h. TGA results show the maximum (1.2 wt%) and minimum (1.0 wt%) amounts of coke were deposited on Ni/HMS and Ni/MCM-41 catalysts, respectively. These coke depositions follow catalysts acidity.
