Abstract:

Zinc oxide (ZnO) is one of the typical sunscreens and shows excellent anti-UV properties [1,2]. Although various approaches have been successfully developed to prepare the ZnO nanoparticles, the aggregation is still a problem for the ZnO nanoparticles and it affects the anti-UV properties of ZnO [2- 4]. A simple method was used to prepare monodispersed ZnO nanoparticles. ZnO nanoparticles were prepared by reaction of zinc acetate and sodium hydroxide in ethanol medium. The morphologies, particle sizes nanoparticles have been characterized field emission scanning electron microscopy (SEM), X-ray diffraction(XRD) and Fourier transform infrared spectrometer( FT-IR).
