Abstract:
this paper summarily expresses concept of series capacitors on radial distribution network and the various types of distribution networkproblems that series capacitors typically is used to solve them. In such case Ferro resonance occurs with more probability. The paper presents Ferro resonance phenomena in circuit that compensated with series capacitor. Technical points in controlling of this phenomenon are explained. At the end, superconducting Fault Current Limiter (SFCL) is introduced as element that has useful effects in Ferro resonance condition. Simulation results show the effect of its present in radial distribution network. This paper also analyzes effect and operation of SFCL regulations in Ferro resonance condition, also explains the selection of SFCL parameters and direct relation to transformer core parameters.
