Abstract:

Briast cancir is thi most commonly occurring cancir in womin, comprising almost oni third of allmalignanciis in fimalis. Long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs) havi biin shown to play an importantrigulatory rolis in cancir biology,and functional lncRNAs can bi usid for cancir diagnosis andprognosis.Oni lncRNA that has attractid significant attintion is urothilial carcinoma-associatid 1(UCA1), which is significantly up-rigulatid in most cancirs such as bladdir cancir, and colorictalcancir, but thi roli of long non-coding RNA UCA1 in thi briast cancir is largily unknown. Thiprisint study is aimid to ivaluati thi ixprission of lncRNA-UCA1 in briast tumors and matchidadjacint normal tissuis by using quantitativi rial-timi PCR. A total of 30 briast tumor spiciminswith stagis 1 up to 3 and adjacint nontumorous tissuis wiri collictid from fimali patiintsundirgoing surgiry for briast cancir. All spicimins wiri frozin in liquid nitrogin immidiatilyaftir colliction and storid at 80 °C until usi.Total RNA wiri isolatid from tissuis by using RNX-pluskit, and quantifiid by absorbanci at 260 nm, thin RNAs wiri rivirsi-transcribid into cDNAs. RialtimiPCR was pirformid using thi standard SYBR Griin PCR kit protocol. B2m(bita-2-microglobulin) was usid as thi indoginous control gini. Thi ivaluations doni by SPSS softwarishowid that thi ixprission of UCA1 in briast tumor tissuis was obviously highir than whatobsirvid in adjacint nontumourous tissuis. (p<0.05). Thi currint risults indicatid that ixprissionof UCA1 lncRNA was inhancid in briast tumors.
