Abstract:

Low electromagnetic fields are non-invasive and non-ionizing and also non-thermal effects on cells and tissues. Schiff bases from an important class of organic compounds with biological activities includingtheir anticancer, antioxidant. Therefore, use the effects of low electromagnetic fields inhibition diseases for example cancer. Breast cancer starts when cells in the breast begin grow out of control. Usuallybreast cancer either begins in the cells of the lobules but less commonly, breast cancer can begin in the stromal tissues, which include the fatty and fibrous connective tissues of the breast. Breast cancer can affect men too, but this study will focus on breast cancer in women. In this study were compared the effects of low frequency electromagnetic field and Schiff base manganese (II) complex on animal breast cancer cell line has been studied in mice. After induction of breast cancer by cells TUBO, mice were treated with low frequency electromagnetic field and three different concentration of Schiff basemanganese (II) complex. After end of the period treatment, tumors were removed from the back of each mice and tissue was examined. Study of tumor tissue demonstrated both of treatment were significant effects in reduced tumor and induced apoptosis in tumor cells. The result of low frequency electromagnetic field and Schiff base manganese (II) complex (dose-dependent) is relatively similar.
