Abstract:
Every year, we witness emergencies and disasters such as burn, earthquake, fire, explosion etc that threat people heath across the world. Burns as a result of primary and or secondary consequences of fire and hazards. Therefore, it is essential for the health sector to be prepared ahead of such situations. Designing and being active of a central incident command post would be managed to: (1) improve inter and intra cooperation among rescue and security teams, medical heath providers, relief teams, hospitals and burn centers, rehabilitation centers, transport resources, and others involved as first responders. (2) Defining a unify commander (2) estimate the number and severity of injured people (3) carry out burn triage (4) define and contact the available centers for care (5) distribute the burn victims according to severity of their injuries to available burn centers, and (6) transfer the burn victims to effective care and treatment. Consequently, first aid responders, health providers and emergency management system (EMS) must be trained/put in place to deliver professional care such that the mortality and morbidity would be decreased by basic and advanced life support for the victims.Key words: Disasters, Burn, Mass Casualty Incident, Management
