Abstract:

Presently there are many engineering structures made of materials which are not subject to the Hook’s law. Therefore there is a great tendency to study the stress and strain at elements of structures made from physical nonlinear material under various static and dynamic loads. In linear theory the properties of materials are not taken into consideration, however all of the relevant parameters are taken in to account in the theory of nonlinearity. Thus, the physical nonlinear theory at small deformations is capable of demonstrating an exact calculation procedure for the analysis of stress, strain and other internal forces at structural elements. In this paper, a beam is assumed to be made of a material which its behavior is physically nonlinear and is analyzed under moving loads. The results show that there is not any resonance and critical velocity when the behavior of material is assumed to be physically nonlinear.
