Effective Factors and Components of Quality Costs in Construction Projects

cost and quality are considered as vital competitive factors for costruction firms and studies of their relationships play an imprtant role in construction industry. Quality costing is a measure of costs associated with the achievement or non-achievement of product quality that is defined by the company and its contracts. the objective of achieving a product with a good quality not only to meet the customer requirements but also to do it with the lowest cost. therefore a realistic estimation of CoQ and improvement benefits which is the trade-off between the level of conformance and non-conformance costs should be considered as a critical quality activity for contractors. on the basis of PAF model cost of quality includes prevention costs i.e., design reviews and education appraisal costs i.e. testing and failure costs i.e. reworks fr internal costs and repairs and replacements for external costs.
