Abstract:

Considering the importance of the prohibited genes of BAX and DAPK in the apoptotic process, In the present study, hypermetylation of these genes in gastric cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy was investigated.In 30 samples of the patient, 30 normal samples and the corresponding blood samples were taken using MS PCR technique to amplify genomic regulatory areas. The blood and tissue samples of these patients showed a significant relationship between the methylation of these two genes and gastric cancer (p <0.05). There was a significant relationship between the simultaneous metabolism of BAX and DAPK genes (p <0.05). There was also a significant relationship between the BAX gene methylation in the tissue and the TYPE of the cancer, but there was no relationship with other clinical and pathological symptoms of the patients
