Abstract:

In this study, the enrichment ability of mesoporous silicate nanoparticles (MSNPs) as a sorbent was investigated for vanadium (V) removal/separation in environmental samples by solid phase extraction (SPE) and batch system (BS) as a dynamic and static system. In solid phase extraction based on UVNM-7, parameters influencing on the vanadium removal/extraction were optimized. Under optimal conditions, the vanadium exhibited a good linearity (R2=0.9995) over the concentration range 10–200 μgL-1 by flame atomic absorption spectrometry (F-AAS). The recover extraction and capacity adsorption was obtained 97% and 80 mg/g respectively at room temperature (25OC). The detection limit (LOD) and precision (RSD) of the proposed method were 3.3 μg L-1 and less than % 5, respectively. The purity of MSNPs was examined by electrothermal atomic absorption spectrometry (ET-AAS) after releasing of vanadium ions into the aqueous solution (HNO3, 0.5M). Validation of methodology was confirmed by standard reference material and ET-AAS.
