Abstract:
This paper presents a heuristic fuzzificated method in order to find the best result for the location and the output of the distributed generation in the phase of system planning. In the proposed method, to find the global optimum point of location and size of each DG, the differential evolution (DE) algorithm is used. This optimization method has two different search spaces of which one search space is created after another using the mutation and crossover operations. In this way, the probability of finding the best result will increase when the search spaces is extended. Another aspect of the proposed method is to introduce a fuzzificated multi-objective function, including the voltage stability margin (VSM) and the active power losses, to prevent the scaling problem of weighted multi-objective function. To assess the efficiency of proposed sizing and placement strategy, it is applied to the IEEE-33 bus standard power system and the results are compared to each other.
