Abstract:

Introduction: Lack of bone tissue and its regeneration has been one of the important challenges of dentistry. Currently, to repair and replace lost bone tissue, membranes are used. Structure of membranes and materials used, has a vital role in periodontal wound healing. The aim of this study was to evaluate and compariation between polymeric membrane and composite membrane with Nano particles.Materials and method: In this research, the Nanocomposite barrier was made by poly(3-hydroxybutyrate)(P3HB)/Nano diopside with different percentage Nano particles as reinforcement were prepared by Electrospinning process, and perused the mechanical properties and hydrophilicity, human osteosarcoma osteoblast cells, which were obtained from the cell bank of Iran Pasteur Institute, were placed on the membranes . Also, ANOVA statistical tests to compare results and p<0.05 was considered significant. Results: Scanning electron microscope (SEM) image showed uniform fibers with diameter less than 300 nanometers and the image processing by MATLAB software authenticated 85% porosity with interconnected porous architecture. The FTIR results demonstrated the proper interaction between the polymer and Nono powder Diopside. also Membrane strength was in the appropriate range. Osteoblast adhesion and proliferation of cells on the membrane containing nano-particles compared with other membranes.Discussion: According to the results study, Adding nanoparticles diopside increase osteoblast adhesion and proliferation of cells on the membranes. overall, the existence of nanoparticles, improve the biocompatibility of the membrane as compared to the polymeric membrane without nanoparticles. Electrospun thin film has optimum condition, with further studies and supplementary assessments can be used as a barrier membrane at the site of the defect.
