Abstract:

Mesoporous materials have either organic or inorganic framework that create an arranged porous structure. The size of the pores of mesoporous materials have been reported between 2-50 nm. High specific surface area, size and shape selectivity are the most important properties of the porous materials that cause many catalytic, filtration, separation, ion exchanger and sensor applications. Pores have different shapes, such as spherical, cylindrical, groove, funnelshaped or hexagonal. The porosity can be flat or curved or with turns and twists. Therefore, mesoporous materials play important roles in nano technology [1, 2]. Recently, catalysts with enzyme-like characteristics have attracted great interests. While many kinds of peroxidaselike catalysts have been actively developed recently, improving their catalytic efficiency is significant too. The application of materials as artificial enzymes has attracted considerable interest due to the unique properties of this materials and interesting surface chemistry [3]. In this work, we synthesized a mesoporous MnCo2O4 nanoctalyst by using a simple co-precipitation method. The structure of the prepared MnCo2O4 was characterized by physico-chemical and spectroscopic techniques.
