Abstract:

in this paper, the large-power motor start-up effects on the electrical network of a gas plant is studied in two dynamic and static states scenario. Moreover, suitable solution has been proposed in order to motor start-up. As yet calculation of motor starting current only has been analyzed thorough static method which is an approximate approach. If motor power is equal or greater than 25% of the total network power, dynamic model must be modeled. Therefore, in this article dynamic analysis of induction motor start-up has been done according to starting methods such as selecting greater size of motor cable, using soft starter, utilizing capacitor and using distinct transformer for medium voltage motors (6kv and 11kv) or mix of aforementioned approaches. Ability to start and restart of a motor can be determined with dynamic motor start-up modeling. In this paper, a real plant grid is modeled by ETAP software and study of motor startup is done through two dynamic and static states. Eventually, consequence of this designing is illustrated. .
