Investigation of the Design of Gas Lift System

Gas lift is one of the main artifiltial lift methods which is used to lower the bottomhole pressure and increase the production rate. In this study, at first we will explain about artificial lift completion and reasons of its importance. Then, gas lifting technology will be discussed. Moreover, we will describe that in which wells and with what conditions, this method is used. After that, the different methods of this process will be discussed. Then, we will explain the benefits and disadvantages of this process. Furthermore, the basic components for a gas lift system and also the best combination of parameters such as pressure and volume of the gas which is injected, the depth of injection and etc, according to the well properties, will be discussed. Moreover, plotting of curves, methods for using of them and the mathematical relationships in this process will be focused. Development and effect of this method in oil and gas industries around the world will be explaine.Considering the implemented ones in Iranian reservoirs, the mechanical equipment needed for this process are introduced and the basics of their design and selection will be given.
