A simple efficient and industrial procedure for recovery and drying of acetonitril and extraction of 2-mercaptobenzothiazole and triphenylphosphine oxide in good to excellent yields is described . We also convert this mercaptan to its corresponding disulfide MBTS using hydrogen peroxide 35% and use for mica ester preparation process.
