Abstract:

The importance of study concern of chemical plant is well known such as severe accidents Seveso in Italy (1976), Bhopal in India (1984), Buncefield in Britain (2005), and Jaipur in India (2009), Asaluyeh in Iran (2010), and Daqing in China (2002). The aim of this paper is to study all process parameter of an oil pumping station that was based on HAZOPtechnique using guidewords. Hazard and operability studies (HAZOP) is a team-based brainstorming activity and systematic method for identifying hazards, failures and operability problems, and assessing the consequences. The purpose of this hazard identification studies is to use the HAZOP systematic approach at the Cheshmeh Shour Oilpumping station, which is a series of operational units of the Tehran Oil Pipeline and Telecommunication Company. The Cheshmeh Shour oil pumping station, which has two 10 and 16 lines. By pumping the product from Shazand to Tehran, it plays an important role in supplying the fuel needs of the capital and suburban cities. Considering the importance and necessity of implementation of the risk identification process of the center, the experts based in Tehran Oil Pipeline and telecommunication Company identified the hazards of the 16-inch pipeline process using the HAZOP method. This study was carried out by a team of expert safety, led by a team of experienced operators, HSE specialists, process engineers, instrument engineers, electrical engineers and mechanics engineers. HAZOP discussions and results are captured and recorded in PHA-Pro software.
