Abstract:
In this research, the potential applicability of three types of bio-adsorbent prepared from Bagasse, Palm shell and Rice husk for the removal of Reactive Green19 from aqueous solutions in batchmethod was investigated. The effects of pH, contact time, and amount of adsorbents on removalpercentage of R.G19 on these adsorbents were examined. Decrease in pH 7 to 1 increase theadsorption capacity:10mg/g and contact time 15 min. Fitting the experimental data toconventional isotherm models like Langmuir, Freundlich, Tempkin, Sips and Redlich–Peterson show that the experimental data fitted very well to the Redlich–Peterson and Langmuir isotherms for Bagasse,and Redlich–Peterson isotherm for Palm shell and Rice husk
