Abstract:

In the past, the main criterion in the design of data centers was high performance and the energy consumption of these centers was of little importance, which increased energy consumption and increased greenhouse gas emissions in the world. Today, worldwide solutions to reduce energy consumption are provided and implemented by datacenters, one of which is the use of virtualization techniques. There are a lot of servers in the datacenters that are 10% more capable or even less capable of serving, but each server has power consumption, as well as heat and space occupancy and cooling needs. Virtualization ensures 80 percent or more use of server hardware resources, and reduces the amount of power consumed by reducing the number of physical servers and, consequently, the amount of power consumed. Also, virtual machines need a server to be aggregated and interconnected, and the number of active physical servers is also lower, and techniques and algorithms for finding low-level servers and virtual machine migration on servers are used. The main idea for this algorithm is the Container concept on virtual machines, as well as the CaaS service and the integration of containers on virtual machines in the CaaS service-based data centers, which are containers for each virtual machine on a physical machine We assign one another to other physical machines to overcome the capacity of the CPU and RAM. Therefore, this research solves the problem of energy consumption by proposing a new algorithm based onthe CaaS service and container handling, which reduces energy consumption compared to thework done
