Abstract:
In this paper, a 100Kw photovoltaic (PV) power plant is connected to a 3-phase power system. Also, an efficient maximum power point tracking (MPPT) method is applied to the PV power plant. The MPPT system determines duty cycle for the DC-DC step up converter to increase the PV array efficiency. Accurate phase locked loop system make a suitable synchronization between a power system and multi-level inverter. Multilevel inverter makes an adequate sinusoidal voltage to improve the injected power quality. PV plant meets the local power demand and the linking transmission line’s loading capacity has been increased subsequently. Simulation results show the effectiveness of multilevel inverter in improving injected power quality and also present the reduction of losses in the power system.
