Abstract:

This research was conducted with purpose of examining the application of pragmatism school of thought components on effectiveness of applied scientific education based on point of view ofinstructors for Center for Applied and Scientific Higher Education in Markazi province. Total population of the study was 33 instructors. A pretest for the reliability of the instrument was conducted and the computed Cronbach’s alpha was 0.83, which indicated the high reliability ofthe questionnaire. Software SPSS/17 was used for analysis of data. Results of this study shows that there are significant and positive relationship between learning by doing, project and problem solving methods and effectiveness of this type of education (p=0.01). Also, there aresignificant and positive relationship between critical thinking and exploratory method and effectiveness of this type of education (p=0.05). The result of regression analysis shows that critical thinking and learning by doing variance in dependent variable.
