Abstract:
The purpose of this research is to identify the sources of PM10 aerosols in Kermanshah. PM10 samples were collected from 24 February to 22 September 2010 at Air Quality Monitoring Station in Kermanshah. Then, the concentrations of twenty elements consisting of K, Na, Ca, P, Cu, Ni, Pb, Cd, Se, Zn, Fe, Mg, B, Cr, Co, As,Mo, V were detected by Inductictively Coupled Plasma – Optical Emission Spectrometry (ICP-OES). In this research, contributions of sources of aerosols (PM10) (geological and geomorphological types) were determined based on physical and chemical properties of aerosols (PM10) and source materials and using multivariate mixing model. The results obtained from determining the contributions of aerosols (PM10) sources have showed that geological type of Upper Fars group (consisting of red marl and sandstone), height of 0-1400m, slope of 0-5%, aspect of flat are the main contributors in the production of aerosols (PM10).
